Amazing Hand Made Sterling Silver Childs Picture Frame from the famous Florence, Italy Silversmith Giuseppe Belfiore, Hallmark “BELFIORE 329 FL (the Italian Government certification of this Silversmith being upstanding and representative of great Italian craftsmanship and of being located in Florence) 925.” Belfiore is famous for detailed happy motifs in silver and gold. Four children here are frolicking, hand in hand (maybe folk dancing), two boys and two girls. Uneven blades of grass are underfoot (so detailed). The kids faces are expressive, so are their clothes and hair styles. But it’s the motion conveyed by this hand made silver sculpture that is so impressive. The silver part of this frame is 3” tall and 6 3/4” long, and extends back 3” with a fixed silver support. The frame is 7” wide and 5 1/2” tall with a glass fronting and a red felt background. It works like a tight napkin holder. This is vintage from the 1980’s, never used, stored as “Factory Fresh.” Rare handmade art. OAK
