Very Large Monkey Pod Leaf Serving Tray, approximately 30 1/2 inches. Hand made from Maui in the 40s-50s, possibly by the prison system. Nice darker brown aged finish with pretty grain. Very slightly warped.
There are some age-related small knocks on the sides and one joint crack has opened a little - easy to fill. Constructed from high-quality monkey pod. We do not alter any items sold; they are listed the way they were found. We get the dust and dirt off, but all serious cleaning/polishing and repairs are the decision of the purchaser. Recommend a coat of mineral oil within a year.
