[Rare] HAI Issey Miyake 80's Wool Half Pants - Size M (S-M)

Wool 100% shorts from HAI Sporting Gear. Made in Japan in the 1980s. HAI SPORTING GEAR was a sports casual brand born in 1977 through a joint development between ISSEY MIYAKE and WACOAL. These are half pants made with non-itchy, textured wool, which was often used for the bottoms of ISSEY's main line at the time. It's impressive that they used plenty of wool, a natural material with excellent moisture absorption and heat retention, in these sporty shorts. I think it's a very rare item. As is typical of Issey, there is no lining, but the comfort is excellent. The geometric, space-age design is also wonderful and unique, but the most striking feature is the deep rise and relatively compact hem width, allowing them to be worn like sarouel pants, while still maintaining a good inseam length. The construction is quite unique. They look great for town use, even for running, and are also recommended as an archive piece. Size: M (fits like S-M). Flat Measurements: Waist: 66-80cm (max).
